What did you do in the last six months?
Paolo: We did live shows, we signed to This Is Core and we recorded our latest EP “Strong Enough” at Fusix Studio. It’s been 6 great months!

What have you got in your wallet now?
Daniele: 7€, a bus ticket, the gym card and a great desire to promote Stereo Age music.

Why have you chosen this name for your band?
Paolo: We wanted something short and easy to pronounce. “Stereo” is an international word so everybody knows how to write it and there’s no misspelling when people talk about our band. That’s just it!

Talk to me about the history of the band!
Daniele: Stereo Age is the obvious consequence to the split-up of three different bands in mid-2010. We began playing together aiming for a fresh Pop-Punk sound. In 2011 we recorded 3 songs and started playing our first gigs. These first songs allowed us to promote the band on the web, especially on Facebook and YouTube. In the summer of 2012, after a lot of gigs in the North of Italy, we came back to the studio to record a new EP.

How important is the look/appearance for your band?
Paolo: We don’t care at all. We dress the way we want and we don’t plan our moves on stage. Boybands are the ones who have to dance during their shows, we’re just four guys playing songs and having a good time being ourselves.

Tell me about the new EP “Strong Enough”. Are you fully satisfied of it?
Daniele: Yes, we are very satisfied of “Strong Enough”, even if we’d like to record more tracks. We descarded several songs that you can listen just at our live shows.

Which is the higher point of the EP?
Paolo: I think that the whole EP stays on the same level, I don’t see a high or low point. That’s why we chose to record just three tracks, because those are our favourite songs and we’re proud of all of them.

…And the lower point?
Daniele: I agree with Paolo, all the songs stay on the same level. So the lower point is probably all the songs we don’t have included in this EP.

How would you define your sound?
Paolo: We love Blink 182, 90’s MTV Punk-Rock but we also love new bands like A Day To Remember or Four Year Strong. We define our music as “Pop-punk”.

Describe for me the word “Pop-punk”?
Daniele: Pop-Punk means melodies that you can easily remind joined with distorted and powerful rhythmic guitar.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Paolo: Playing every night and travel the world; that’s our dream as a band.

Tell me some of the bands you admire.
Daniele: Of course Blink182 (our myths), New Found Glory, Green Day and all the Pop-Punk bands of the American Scene. Actually some of my favourite bands are All Time Low, The Story So Far and Man Overboard.

What song is in your head right now?
Paolo: “Animals” by Muse.
Daniele: A song by Valencia called “The Space Between”.

Name 3 words that describe your band.
Daniele: I think funny, easy and carefree.

Which are the best and the worst qualities of your band?
Paolo: That’s tough! We’re friends and we like to play music so I should say that we love what we’re doing (which is not so granted). The worst thing is that we’re always late!

What is the most embarrassing situation you’ve ever been with Stereo Age?
Daniele: When we share the stage with bands that plays other genres, something very different from our music. These situations are always very embarassing, especially for the type of audience that you face.

Have you got a good reason to be in Behind Magazine?
Paolo: It’s a great magazine and you have an awesome website so we’re honored to be part of it!

Have you got something to add?
Daniele: Yes, I would remind that we have a brand new video of the song “Checking, Asking, Showing” out on our official Youtube channel. Check it out and leave us a comment, it’s very important for us!
