Present yourself and the band to our readers!
Hi guys! I’m Tizzi and I play guitar in this awesome band called Ciementificio. They’re just awesome you know! We come from Pescara and we’ve been playing since 2004. We love Thrash Metal and we enjoy having fun with our music whilst testifying to the world how silly we can get with our songs lyrics. By the way, our real mission it’s to enslave the world and turn it into a reserve of grinning purple bananas, but don’t spread this around ok?

What did you do in the last six months?
We’ve been preparing the release of our new album, “Marcia, Marcia”, which will be released via Dysfunction Records/Zeta Factory on the 19th of November. Oh, and that purple bananas thing again.

What have you got in your wallet now?
Bananas. Purple, in fact.

Why have you chosen this name for your band?
As for the “Cementificio” is a huge and scary – yet fucking metal – factory, which is the first thing you see when you arrive in Pescara. “Yes but why Ciementificio”? We were too drunk to remember, but it seems that at our first concert the organizer spelt the name wrong. I’d call it a good reason to keep the name.

How important is the look/appearance for your band?
We never cared that much. In the end we’re just handsome and fascinating guys.

Tell me about the new album “Marcia marcia”. Are you fully satisfied of it?
We just love it! When we entered the studio we didn’t expect the songs to be that great. It’s loud, it’s fast, it’s various…it’s just Ciementificio! I don’t know if this is sick, but after a year we recorded it and I still can’t help but listen to it almost everyday. Yeah, it’s kind of sick.

Which is the higher point of the album?
I would say “Io e tre metri sotto terra”, but only to pick one.

…And the lower point?
Bonasone whispering names during the sexy/atmospheric part on “Faraone Riccone” still gives me some unpleasant thrills.

How would you define your sound?
Thrash Metal with laughs and a twist.

Many people describe you as a thrash metal band. What do you think about it and where’s the best definition of your sound?
Still Thrash Metal with laughs and a twist. Especially on weekends!

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Friends, parties and good music on the beach.

Which is the best show you’ve seen and played?
Seen: probably Slayer at Gods of Metal 2000. Played: I really have no’s always crazy cool.

Tell me some of the bands you admire.
Admire… Meshuggah and Opeth for always trying to evolve their music despite being around for decades. Donato Mitola, however, is still the king of metal.

What song is in your head right now?
”Gangnam Style” of course!

Name 3 words that describe your band.
Loud, Various, Funny.

Which are the best and the worst qualities of your band?
We love to be stupid. Both good and bad.

What is the most embarrassing situation you’ve ever been with Ciementificio?
For the first couple of years our concerts were just a colossal embarrassment, though a very fun one. One might argue that playing more gigs than doing rehearsals might have been some kind of an issue…

Slayer or Kreator?

Have you got a good reason to be in Behind Magazine?
It feels awesome! I must tell you that falling from a snowboard and then rolling like a giant swnoball and smashing down trees, peasants and virgins is actually the best way to enjoy Ciementificio’s music.

Have you got something to add?
Thanks to Behind Magazine and thanks to you for reading. Follow us on facebook and myspace as in the next days some VERY VERY VERY cool stuff is coming. See you on the 17th of november at Orange Rock Café (Pescara) for the Marcia Marcia release party! Naked fatties will feature! Also purple bananas!
