Here is a short video profile of Francesca Bugnone, Mountain bike Champion, where he tells himself and his relationship with the sport.

“The mountain bike for me is not just part of my training equipment, it is something with which I can express myself.
For my first race I had a beautiful bike, and because of this I was so scared to damage it, that I finished last in the bottom! Then, step by step I have been getting the expected results.”

“To cross the finishing line, it is one of the most thrilling emotions for an athlete.
I love nature as part of my sport, because it offers amazing landscapes and this is way I think we all have to be very respectful in front of it.
Before every race, I touch a little ladybug-wood on my bike, it helps me to find concentration and the grit to compete.

It is fundamental to have the right apparel when I train and when I compete, because I can face the difficulty and I can achieve high goals.
I am totally music addicted, I always listen to the music when I train: Linkin Park, White Stripes… rock!

I train 3-4 hours per day, in Winter I do lot of spinning, drills for the abs and for the back.
The support of the team-mates is definitely very important, because they cheers me up.

To practice this sport is necessary to have a really good heart rate and strong legs to face the climb, and “a little bit” of craziness for the downhill.”
