The On a Mission road trip was the perfect mix of mountain biking, traditional food, friends and stunning sceneries in the most vivid autumn colors. The September weather gifted our mountain bikers with sunshine and nice temperatures, which meant perfect conditions on the trails. Flowy trails, breath taking Alpine views and the best company, wrap up the summary of the road trip for “On a Mission”. The winners got around to test the SPECIALIZED for BMW Turbo Levo E-Bikes in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, shred the trails of Bike Republic Sölden and make the most of the epic trails of the Swiss jewel St.Moritz.

The On a Mission winner for 2017 season, was Kelly Jayne Emmerson, a 26-year old mountain biker from Derbyshire, UK. Kelly got into biking a couple of years ago and hops on her bike at every possible chance. In her own words: “The road trip was an incredible experience in amazing destinations with an awesome bunch of people.” If you want to find out more about Kelly, check out her blog kellbellandbikes.com.

The mountain bike adventure ran throughout the whole summer and consisted of three missions. Things started off with Martin Söderström, who was given the task to choose three bike parks and reach them within a weekend, completing challenges on the way. He decided on the hottest bike spots in the Austrian Alps, and hit the legendary jumps, daring drops and challenging downhill tracks in Bikepark Königsberg, Bikepark Planai and Saalbach Hinterglemm. The second mission was given to Hannah Barnes. Her challenge was to bike through 3 countries in one weekend, her destinations being Austria, Italy and Switzerland. The third and final challenge was open for all bike enthusiasts, whose task was to embark on a ride, covering 20km and 1000m of altitude in one go, capturing it with a photo and submitting it to the contest.
