Talk to me about the story of the band!
Chained was born in Parma in 2011 as a cover/tribute band. In 2015 Alberto Bottioni and Luca Pettenati wrote their first riffs and the music of new songs, while Stefano Superchi and Francisco Marvasi dealing arrangements. The vocals parts and lyrics are taken care by Alberto Stagnis our frontman.

What did you do in the last six months?
After some time spent in the rehearsal room, looking for a mature sound that would indicate the band, in May 2016 Chained, entered in studio to recording their first album, which will then mixed by Riccardo Pasini (Paso) to Studio73 in Ravenna and then be mastered by John Versari.

Why have you chosen this name for your band?
Because Chained is what we have in mind every day.

How important is the look/appearance?
Under certain aspects it’s very important, expecially when you are on stage to transmit every detail about a project.

Tell us about the new LP “Dark Dreams”. Are you fully satisfied with it?
Absolutely, is our first step into the metal scene, an important thing, absolutely.

Which is the highest point of the LP?
Personally I think “Chained on Cross” and “Last Whisper” are probably the best way to have an idea of who are Chained. A good dose of energy and good vibes!

How would you define your sound?
Simply “Gently arrogant”.

Alternative metal. Describe for me this word!
Alternative metal… We intend him as a raw context but with so many influences that originate from the hard-rock and from grunge music.

Which bands have influenced your style?
Some artists have influenced our music, for examples: Alice in Chains, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour, Godsmack…

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Play our music everywhere.

What song is in your head right now?
“Chained on Cross” of an incredible band called Chained!
